About 
I have always painted. Growing up with an art teacher dad was a grounding for my natural creativity. I went directly from school to art school in the 90s, majoring in painting. Meadowbank College offered a solid foundation in all aspects of painting and drawing. After that I spent two years in a studio, having my first solo exhibition at age twenty four - exhibiting large scale 
abstractions in oils. Abstraction and intuition remain the foundation and constant within my practice while my choice of subject matter covers a wide range of interests. I furthered my art education with a Fine Arts degree at UNSW, and Honours year as SCA. I have had eight solo exhibitions, sometimes abstract paintings, sometimes small paintings on found wood, paintings and drawings on paper, 
and in 2024 I created a five metre charcoal drawing onsite in the gallery. I enjoy coming up with new visual ideas and following sparks of interests. Alongside my studio practice I have taught drawing and painting to adult students at Gallery Lane Cove since 2018. I value these class groups who are made up of the local community either finding art for the first time or coming along each term for many years to build their own practices.
