Helen McCullagh

Jessica Ashton

Jessica Ashton is an artist, working in a realistic style with oils and charcoal. Jessica paints light and atmospheric effects, often including figurative elements.

 

She is represented by Dickerson Gallery. Her work has been included in exhibitions in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, as well as regional galleries. She has been a finalist in numerous established art prizes, including the Archibald Art Prize, the Mosman Art Prize, NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting Prize, the Eutick Memorial Still Life Art Prize, the Warringah Art Prize, the Hunters Hill Art Prize, and the Alice Bale Scholarship.

 

Jessica studied Classical Fine Art at the Julian Ashton Art School on the Sir William Dobell Scholarship. She taught at the school for more than 10 years. Jessica also teaches illustration at The University of Technology, Sydney and Human Anatomy at Production Art Department.
