Flowers , whether they are from the garden, foraged or handpicked from the local florist ,are my constant source of inspiration. Interior glimpses of my home, my luscious garden and favourite scarves bring a sense of familiarity and joy. My paintings are a  representation of all that is important to me.

Working with a restricted palette and painting within the light allows me to capture the atmosphere,  the emotions  and the sense of delight that flowers invoke .I strive to transfer that enchantment  to the viewer with dramatic tonalities , thick luscious oil paint, loose brushstrokes and a freedom to paint what I feel.
