Nicolas Chen

Nicolas Chen is an emerging artist in the Australian art scene. Primarily an oil painter trained in tonal realism, he uses this style to explore various genres , including still life, landscape, and portraiture. Nicolas began his formal training at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney and then furthered his training at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. Nicolas’ work has been well received in numerous art competitions in Australia, including placing as a finalist in the EMSLA 2019, as a finalist in the Lethbridge 20000 2020, and as the winner of the prestigious A.M.E Bale travelling scholarship in 2018.
