While I am in my studio I am not thinking about having a heart attack! I can create my pieces of art & I am staying out of hospital for the most part. My career as a nurse of 29 years came to a halt abruptly  after learning about how serious my condition was.

Feeling despondent and lost my husband encouraged me to trust my intuition and put my energy into something creative.  I have always been creative! Pottery was always on my bucket list and so my journey began 2 years ago.

My work is not to everyones taste, it is quirky, raw, rustic, textural, organic  but if you don't it  like it thats fine.  I don't expect it to be to everyones liking. Each piece is bespoke and I put my heart and soul into it. It is only a hobby but I was not going to sit on the couch and spend my time watching

soaps on the TV. I was so surprised when Stylists purchased from me, here and OS.  I have a bit of a chuckle as I really have to pinch myself when I have been in Donna Hay, Cuisine, Cover of Better Homes & Gardens, Taste, Ruth Magazine to name a few.

I have been in cook books and also my pieces were flown to the USA for a bridal photo shoot in The Zion National Park in Utah.

Also I have someone in France wanting to write a book about my journey. I don't have a website & only sell on Instagram and Facebook, it is a hobby for me.My husband and neighbours built me a little studio in the front of our house where I can show my work, it makes me feel proud, corrugated iron walls, old doors from

a gumtree find.  Horse fencing shelves, old ladder hand from the roof and lots of vintage finds that suit my work.

What makes me happy is sharing my customers photos, having lovely regular customers and that humbles me so much.

My heart dictates to me the amount of work I can do, every day I am well and I can create is a good day for me.
