SUE TESORIERO

I am interested in interiors that capture a snapshot of everyday life, and an insight into the lives of others and their way of living. These interiors, like the environment around us, often contain a symphony of items that individually seem irrelevant but as a collective provide interesting and welcoming living spaces. No matter the style of the interior, they all embrace colour, pattern, decoration, creativity and most importantly at this time, joy and a sanctuary to those within.

The still life works embrace the connection between generations – incorporating pieces from different periods in time. I am interested in the connections we make and create by curating items from the past with the present. The fabrics used in Tea & Society and Sake & Society are modern day, yet sit comfortably with objects from two generations ago. The still life objects are from my personal collection passed down through family.
