​Will Colenso is a self-taught contemporary painter and architect based in Los Angeles. Finding himself disillusioned with the realities of architectural practice, Will’s painting is a deliberate reaction against the rigidity and specificity of this other life. His paintings explore the quiet intensity that can be found in the space between everyday things; pleasure and discomfort, the familiar and the foreign, melancholy and joy. They are, at their root, deliberately unfinished   stories about people and the imagined spaces they inhabit.
