GRIA SHEAD
IN AND OUT
Gria Shead’s work describes worlds-in-worlds and the thing-in-itself, whether she is capturing a moment in a well-known room in a house of her own or a salon in Monte Carlo’s casino—or a fragment of a life-story that warrants her unique investigation.
With a complex palette and consummate composition skills, Gria interrogates history to reveal the multivalent roles that women play in the formation of cultural identity, regardless of reduction, or she will turn to a moment and location in space and time to render tranquillity and the essence of inspiration.
